Connecticut College June 2013

I’ve just returned from one of the most anticipated events of my year, namely the Annual Tai Chi for Health Conference.  This year’s meeting of my fellow tai chi practitioners occurred on the beautiful campus of Connecticut College in New London, C.T.
No matter how many of these I attend, the feeling is the same—a lush landscape of my colleagues sharing, talking, laughing and totally enjoying stepping into a week long adventure of learning.  We come from all different backgrounds, from all over the U.S. and beyond.  This year we were pleased to have colleagues from Switzerland, India, Iran, Alaska and of course our dear friends from Australia.
On Sunday June 9th, the “Community” (Tai Chi for Health Community) hosted a “Meet & Greet”  in front of the Student Center at the College.  This was an opportunity for those departing after a weekend intensive and those arriving for the week long Conference to linger a while over a small glass of wine with cheese, or fruit and catch up with old friends and make a few new ones.  It appears that this “Meet & Greet” was so successful that the Community is already working on the planning for it in June 2014.
I’ll be posting additional blogs both on my time in Master Trainer Janet Crumb’s Chen 56 class and the additional week of Depth of 36 workshop with Dr. Paul Lam and Janet Crumb.
